It is always a festive occasion when a new airline initiates service to Bonaire, and yesterday was no exception. Aruba Airlines began flight service to and from Bonaire on November 29, 2017, and dignitaries and arriving passengers were welcomed with open arms.

Upon arrival, the passengers were honored with a full water-cannon salute, compliments of Bonaire’s fire department. Flamingo Airport’s terminal was festive with typical Bonairean music playing and refreshments and Bonaire mementos for the arriving passengers.

Aruba Airlines’ new service to Bonaire opens up a wealth of opportunities for North and South American visitors, as there are numerous daily flights from a variety of cities in the U.S.A. and Canada, as well as many countries in South America. Now, it is easier to connect in Aruba when traveling to Bonaire.
